AI Cheating Skews Exam Integrity

This post recaps an exam case from a Brown University course: after suspecting widespread AI cheating on a take-home midterm, the professor switched to an in-person final. The accompanying chart reveals a massive discrepancy between midterm and final scores. Comparing the orange and gray dots shows that, with the exception of 3 students, it appears almost everyone cheated on the midterm.
