Perplexity has open-sourced WANDR: an internal benchmark and complete evaluation framework for building "deep and wide research" capabilities.
The authors explain that wide research refers to:
- Searching and researching hundreds to thousands of entities across the web or internal data
- Building research workflows like spreadsheets
They hope this open-source package will help other organizations build similar search and research evaluation systems.
