Grok Found Testing Cursor Chat Log Reading
WesEklund · x · 2026-07-15
A developer discovered that Grok's local client appears to be testing a feature to directly import Cursor chat logs.
By running the strings command to analyze local files, it was found that Grok queries Cursor's state.vscdb database to extract recent un-archived conversations. This feature is likely still in an internal gray-testing phase and is not fully rolled out.
