Metareviews Can Expose Paper Flaws Earlier

They added that a direct benefit of writing initial metareviews is:
- Identifying critical experimental flaws earlier
- These flaws, even if not reflected in the initial scores, can be grounds for rejection
- If the assessment is wrong, authors still have the chance to counter it during the rebuttal phase
This shows that metareviews serve as more than just "summaries of comments"—they proactively expose structural issues in the papers.
