marimo has partnered with askalphaxiv to turn academic papers into fully runnable, editable interactive notebooks.
The demonstration shows how GPT-5.6 Sol can convert an arXiv paper into a notebook with a single click. Instead of static charts, it generates fully executable code, allowing users to easily inspect logic, reproduce experiments, and tweak parameters.
The author notes that this approach is particularly useful for understanding papers on:
