Beyond Machine Rule: Expanding Life's Forms

The author pushes back against the idea that "machines should rule the universe." Instead, they argue we should focus on expanding the "process of life" itself—unleashing greater flourishing and experiences across biological, mechanical, and post-mechanical substrates.
Viewing "machines" as the sole载体 for this expansion is short-sighted. Just as profit-driven companies don't stick to a single product but constantly develop unimaginable new ones, those expecting life to advance should embrace the idea of life transcending our current concept of "machines" into new, incomprehensible substrates, much as human machines are to a dung beetle.
