BaoCut: A Subtitle Editing Skill for Agents
dotey · x · 2026-07-15
The author introduces a Mac-based Agent Skill called BaoCut, designed for video subtitle processing.
It allows an Agent to execute a complete workflow via CLI:
- Transcribe video
- Identify speakers
- Refine the transcript, fixing typos and filler words
- Perform basic edits based on the transcript, such as removing repetitions and filler words
- Sync transcription/translation progress to a GUI in real-time for easy manual preview and editing
The author notes that this solves a common pain point: the lack of a user-friendly secondary editing interface after an Agent finishes subtitle transcription and translation. Now, simply by installing the Skill and App, users can trigger the workflow directly from Agents like Codex or Claude Code.
