Scholars Urge Against Instant AI-Generated Rebuttals

A scholar serving as an Area Chair (AC) complained that a student submitted four rebuttals less than 10 minutes after receiving the reviews. They urged others not to do this, sarcastically noting that such thoughtless instant replies were likely generated using AI templates like skill.md.
Previously, a developer had open-sourced a skill file distilled from successful rebuttal experiences to help scholars navigate reviews for conferences like EMNLP and NeurIPS. The AC expressed helplessness regarding this phenomenon.
