Linux Foundation Launches x402 Foundation to Advance AI Payments

The Linux Foundation has announced the official launch of the x402 Foundation, aiming to provide native payment capabilities for AI Agents via open payment standards. Backed by 40 initial member institutions including Mastercard, the project seeks to drive innovation and interoperability in machine-scale payments.
