The Debate Over Paths to AGI

This post compares two approaches to achieving AGI:
- Anthropic / OpenAI are likely to push forward with more powerful superintelligent LLMs.
- If this path fails, alternative solutions will be necessary.
The author believes Google and Demis Hassabis are taking a broader route: combining LLMs with planning, world models, agents, and robotics. It is still too early to tell which path will ultimately succeed.
