GeoLibre v2.1 has been released. It is a 免费、开源、轻量、云原生 GIS platform available across browsers, desktops, mobile devices, and Jupyter, emphasizing 本地保存、隐私优先 data handling.
Key updates include:
- A new QGIS-like Browser panel allowing users to browse map services, connect to PostGIS, view schemas and tables, open local files, and bookmark data sources from a single hub.
- New Route Animation: markers can move along line segments, follow paths in 3D, and be exported as MP4 videos.
- Direct in-browser execution of ONNX / YOLO for object detection without needing a server or Python.
- Added map recording, native resolution photo viewing, Wikipedia knowledge cards, more planetary basemaps, and an OpenAerialMap search plugin.
