Veteran Marketer Builds MCP Server to Block Bad AI Ads
ds246 · reddit · 2026-07-14
A performance marketing expert with 10 years of experience found that while using AI to write ad copy greatly boosts output efficiency, AI often generates "low-quality ads" that look professional but lack effective hooks and precise angles. Furthermore, AI self-evaluations always "go easy" and approve them.
To solve this, he used AI to help develop an MCP server named Spendict. It acts as a strict "second reviewer":
- Workflow Integration: Once connected to clients like Claude and Cursor, ads written by AI must be reviewed by Spendict.
- Evaluation Mechanism: Provides conclusions based on fixed rules set by expert experience (publish directly, modify specific details, rewrite completely) and gives a score. Rules are fixed to prevent AI from sweet-talking its way past the review.
- Business Model: Offers a free quota of 100 checks per month, primarily targeting marketers who need to connect Agents to real ad budgets.
