DeepMind's 58-Page Paper on Game Theory AI Agents

Google DeepMind researchers published a 58-page paper exploring how to build AI agents specialized in Game Theory. The authors note that existing LLM agents typically rely on direct prompting to generate actions, which performs poorly in both complete and incomplete information games. To address this, the team introduced a new method that enabled the agent to significantly outperform current frontier LLMs in testing.
