AI Coding Needs Inner and Outer Loop Division
bibryam · x · 2026-07-14
The author argues that putting humans in every AI coding loop isn't scalable, but completely removing humans isn't the right answer either.
The proposed division of labor is:
- Inner Loop: Investigate, implement, verify, repeat
- Outer Loop: Set constraints, check evidence, decide what to ship, own the outcomes
The conclusion is that agentic engineering is becoming an architecture discipline rather than a prompting trick. The post also recommends a related article by @addyosmani.
