OpenRouter API Supports Routing by Service Tier
AccBalanced · x · 2026-07-14
OpenRouter announces that service tiers are now first-class citizens on its platform. Developers can view latency and throughput for specific tiers via the /v1/models/endpoints endpoint, providing clear visibility into the service standards they are paying for.
Routing is supported using reproducible slugs like openai/flex and xai/priority, and it remains fully compatible with the existing servicetier parameter.
