Preen: Turning Your Phone into a Widget Screen

The author used Claude Code to build Preen, a product that turns an iPhone into a display for live widgets, making it easy to actually keep and use those "vibe coding" creations in front of you.
Two examples are provided: using the phone to toggle a Samsung TV (with the phone acting as the frontend and a Mac as the home server bridge), and controlling a Yamaha soundbar's volume. When lacking official API documentation, the author even leveraged Claude to build a proxy and reverse-engineer the subwoofer volume control. Preen is currently in a free beta with a paid tier planned for the future, as the primary goal right now is gathering user feedback.
