LLMs Need "Sleep" for Continuous Learning

This post also shares the same "LLMs Need Sleep and Dreaming" research.
The core viewpoint remains the same: models need a "sleep/dream" phase to consolidate fragile short-term memory into long-term memory, leveraging knowledge distillation-style Knowledge Seeding for continued self-improvement, thereby mitigating catastrophic forgetting.
It highlights a vision for longer-cycle continuous learning: rather than a static deployment after a single training run, models repeatedly organize, consolidate, and enhance their own knowledge in subsequent phases.
