Polarizing Results in Reve 2.1 Blind Tests
soleio · x · 2026-07-14
This post references the Reve 2.1 release and adds a creative professional's blind testing conclusions: they compared Reve 2.1 against Seedream 5.0 Pro, MAI Image 2.5, and ChatGPT Images 2.0 across 10 real-world client briefs.
The results were highly polarized: Reve 2.1 performed the best in certain tasks, particularly excelling at landscape imagery, but could rank the worst in "product shot" tasks. The author concludes that it has almost no middle ground—it either wins flawlessly or drops out early. The official release notes highlighted improvements in 4K image generation, prompt comprehension, world knowledge, and foreign text rendering.
