CLI Data Retention Rules Clarified

A repost clarified the data handling practices of a certain CLI: under ZDR mode, the CLI does not retain data, and this has been the case since launch.
It also mentioned that the /privacy command in the CLI can turn data retention off or back on, and this setting can be applied retroactively. However, enabling data sync is required to use features like remote session lists, cloud agents, and handoffs.
