ICML Talk: Evolutionary Rate Prediction Boosts Small Model Performance

At ICML, researchers presented their work on Gamba. The study found that introducing evolutionary rate prediction can effectively enhance the representation capabilities of zero-shot genomic language models. This approach allows smaller models to achieve performance comparable to much larger models on certain specific tasks.
