Andreessen: AI Value Will Mainly Go to Users

Marc Andreessen believes that most of the economic value created by the AI industry will ultimately flow to users rather than the model companies themselves.

Drawing parallels to the internet, smartphones, and electricity, he notes that while infrastructure and platform builders bear the costs, the broad user base reaps the productivity and wealth gains. He suggests that large model labs might spend enormous amounts of capital only to capture a tiny fraction of long-term economic returns.
