Quantum Platform Contributes to Approved New Drug

During the development of its first recombinant botulinum toxin type A drug, Retoxin, Yuyan Pharma utilized computing power support from TuringQ and claims the drug was approved by the NMPA on March 27.
The post also introduces the Quantum Bio platform used: based on the DeepQuantum quantum computing platform, it combines the hybrid computing power of QPU, GPU, and CPU, covering three core modules:
- Small molecule drug design
- Synthetic biology computing
- Antigen-antibody design
The author believes this is one of the first cases where a quantum computing platform participated in R&D and secured an approval, indicating that the commercial viability of quantum computing in scientific discovery and AIDD is starting to be validated.
