The Experiment
They attempted to locally recreate a marketing asset workflow using Claude Code, resulting in an open-source plugin, rimla1/animated-ads:
- Generates HTML animated ads
- Renders pages using Puppeteer / Playwright
- Converts output to MP4 via ffmpeg
- Adds voiceovers using ElevenLabs
Conclusions & Questions
- The output quality was surprisingly close to commercial tools.
