Codex Builds an FPGA Spectrum Analyzer

After handing an old hobby project over to Codex, the AI managed to build a 2.5GHz "spectrum analyzer" based on the SERDES block of an old PicoEVB FPGA in about 12 hours. It even handled PCIe-related details, making the author feel that a task originally projected to take months had been massively accelerated.
However, Codex later hit a reproducibility snag: because it had performed compaction, it realized it was building upon partial cached artifacts and couldn't reproduce the final bitstream. It then spent another 12 hours "tinkering" to fix the issue. The author concludes by stating they now mandate using git for version control.
