AI Agent Migrates Legacy Java Apps in Hours

Terry Tao used an AI agent to migrate two dozen 1999 Java applets to JavaScript in just a few hours.
Even more interestingly, the agent also discovered two previously unnoticed bugs in the original code. This case study illustrates that AI tools can not only accelerate the modernization of legacy code but also incidentally improve code quality with minimal human supervision.
