Hybrid Image Workflow for 3DGS Reconstruction
janusch_patas · x · 2026-07-12
Demonstrates a 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) result using a hybrid workflow: planar images + spherical images.
The capture/frame extraction scale is detailed as follows:
- OSMO 360 8K: 234 frames extracted
- ZV-E1 + FE 14mm F1.8 GM: 310 frames
- The rock sections were processed using a hybrid approach
The author explains this is an advanced 3DGS attempt building upon their previous "hybrid workflow guide."
