Local Models Will Become the Default Interface

Humans excel at using tools, especially frontier models that outperform them in certain dimensions but consume more power.
Based on this, the author infers that local models will gradually become the default interface. They will initiate and control tasks at lower power and cost, before calling on frontier models to handle the more difficult parts.
