Regarding the current AI frontier model landscape, some argue that unless the industry reaches a consensus that "OpenAI and Anthropic are the only real players," top talent will continue to jump ship, and frontier tech capabilities will eventually become common industry knowledge. Currently, the industry hasn't even settled on whether Microsoft/DeepMind/SpaceX AI count as core players, let alone the numerous emerging AI labs.
