The author believes that unless the frontier circle forms a consensus that "only OpenAI and Anthropic count as players," talent will continue to flow, and capabilities will gradually become shared industry knowledge.
They also pointed out that right now there isn't even a consensus on whether labs like MSL, DeepMind, and SpaceXAI count as true top-tier players, not to mention the massive number of new labs.
