Training LTX LoRA to Fix Asian Face Morphing
Extension-Yard1918 · reddit · 2026-07-12
A developer tackled the issue where the LTX video model tends to morph East Asian faces into entirely different people (even developing "Westernized" features) during camera movements, by training a LoRA.
Training Approach: Trained the LoRA using about 10,000 images of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean women. The assumption is that a lack of data causes the model to revert to the most common facial features in its training set when generating new angles. The goal isn't perfect identity preservation, but rather guiding the model to generate more natural East Asian facial structures.
Results & Next Steps: Initial results are promising, significantly reducing the jarring effect of "suddenly turning into someone else." The developer plans to test the impacts of different LoRA weights, large-angle rotations, aggressive camera movements, and more training epochs next.
