He also raised a counterpoint: the primary bottleneck in the future might no longer be "intelligence," but the physical speed of real-world experimentation, deployment, and iterative feedback. Thus, progress might hit a ceiling even without more powerful AI. Another concern is that if we pause frontier model advancements without restricting the deployment of existing AI in production and research, the actual impact might not match expectations.
