The author argues that the truly enduring value in agentic AI isn't a single model's capability, but a secure multi-model orchestration layer responsible for routing, scheduling, and security compliance.
They referenced views on the challenges of deploying enterprise agents: production environments require building many new systems, including orchestration, routing, context engineering, state management, multi-agent collaboration, and security/compliance mechanisms. The harder part, however, is restructuring enterprise governance and culture. The term "Perplexity Computer" in the title is used to encapsulate this product paradigm.
