Z.ai Founder Outlines Three Major Challenges on the Path to AGI
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-07-11
Z.ai founder Tang Jie shared a plan named "Touch High", aiming to achieve AGI within the next two years.
He attributes the core challenges on the path to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) to three major hurdles:
- Long Horizon Task
- Autonomous Agent System
- Self-Evolving
This technical route highly aligns with the views of Anthropic CEO Dario: aiming to achieve Full Self Training through compute-driven agents that autonomously write, clean, and synthesize code, thereby solving the most intractable problems and driving the continuous self-improvement of model capabilities.
