Perplexity Updates Agent API with GPT-5.6

Perplexity has integrated the GPT-5.6 model family into its Agent API.
They noted that this model family sits on the Pareto frontier in agentic research evals, achieving higher accuracy at lower costs. Following this update, Perplexity adjusted the Agent API presets: xHigh, High, and Medium, which are designed for long-running research tasks, are now faster and cheaper.
