Claude Code 2.1.207 Update
ClaudeCodeLog · x · 2026-07-11
Claude Code 2.1.207 received an update focusing primarily on the CLI and system prompts:
- Removed the CLAUDECODEENABLEAUTOMODE environment variable.
- Bundle size increased by about 120.5 kB (+0.3%), prompt files +3, and prompt tokens +11,939 (+9.0%).
- Within the prompt token structure, the proportion of system-reminder decreased, while the system proportion noticeably increased.
- The new system reminder emphasizes: prioritizing software engineering tasks, using file-based persistent memory, preferring file tools over the shell, and utilizing Agents / subagents for large-scale code exploration.
- A follow-up note pointed out that Claude is no longer explicitly told that the <system-reminder> tags in messages/tool results are injected by the harness rather than being user text, which might make the model more likely to interpret them as user-provided content.
