Claude Code's Time Estimation Goes Hilariously Wrong

Someone complained that Claude Code's estimate for SLURM task completion was absurd: when writing a job file, it set the total runtime to 8 hours or other exaggerated values, causing the scheduler to downgrade the task as heavy, even though it was only doing inference.
The post also referenced another classic dialogue meme: AI first gave a "12–18 month" project timeline, then revised it to "6–9 months" with "AI Coding," and finally claimed completion a few hours later, creating a stark contrast.
