Archestra Releases MCP Apps Feature

Archestra released 1.3.8 "Lyra", introducing Apps: you can directly describe your needs through a conversation to instantly generate a usable mini-app without separate deployment.
Core designs of this update include:
- Based on MCP Apps: Apps aren't locked inside Archestra; they can also be accessed via URL or other AI clients that support MCP UI extensions.
- Third-party data integration: Apps can access external systems like Jira via MCP and run based on the viewer's identity.
- Enterprise permissions and audit: Supports per-user credentials, Entra ID on-behalf-of, Okta, along with comprehensive logging and guardrails.
- Self-hosted + open source: Apps run on the user's own infrastructure.
The team also showcased several examples, including a portfolio dashboard, a 3D CAD viewer, a mini-game, and an actual bar-tab tracking tool used in their office.
