Intelligence Should Be an Independent Science

Returning from ICML, the author presented a keynote at the Foundation of Deep Generative Models Workshop arguing that intelligence should be treated as a science, potentially even more significant than physics.

They believe that studying intelligence requires the same scientific methods and mathematical rigor as modern physics, rather than remaining at the level of empiricism, metaphysics, meta-mathematics, philosophy, or pure speculation. This represents one of the "greatest opportunities" available to young scientists today.
