Nilay Patel: AR Glasses Inevitably Invade Privacy

Nilay Patel argues on The Vergecast that building AR glasses requires placing continuous recording cameras next to the eye and sending data to the cloud. Current technology cannot integrate chips into the glasses' temples that are both powerful and low-power enough. He believes this creates a massive privacy trade-off, suggesting that development of such products should perhaps be halted altogether.
