OpenWiki Focuses on a Universal Memory Layer

OpenWiki's universal memory is designed to complement the memory of Codex / Claude Code.
It emphasizes proactive / ambient memory: by connecting to services like Gmail, X, and Notion, it automatically discovers what the user is doing and interested in, storing this information for later retrieval.
The author believes that a truly complete memory system requires both capabilities:
- Proactive ambient memory: continuously gathering context from the outside world
- Passive/reactive memory: retrieving information on demand during coding or conversations
Combining the two makes an agent understand you better, making it significantly more powerful.
