Hassabis on the True Test for AGI

Demis Hassabis believes current AI still lacks maturity in three naturally human abilities: genuine creativity, continuous learning, and long-term planning.
He suggests that math competitions or traditional benchmarks are insufficient to prove AGI. A truer test would be having a system derive theories like Einstein's relativity when its knowledge is strictly cut off at 1911.
He also notes that the human brain is the only known proof of universal intelligence in the universe, estimating that we are "a few years, not decades" away from true AGI.
