Team Bans AI-Generated Code Commit Messages

Kenton Varda announced that his team is pausing the use of AI to write code change descriptions (like PRs and commit messages). He found that AI-generated descriptions are often useless: they merely list obvious details from the code while ignoring the high-level logic and background context needed to truly understand it, ultimately making code reviews more difficult.
