US Advances AI Whistleblower Protection Act

In May of this year, the Chair of the US Senate Judiciary Committee and other lawmakers introduced the bipartisan AI Whistleblower Protection Act (AIWPA). The legislation aims to safeguard individuals who disclose potential AI safety vulnerabilities or regulatory violations. Advocacy groups are currently urging the public to contact their representatives to push the legislative process forward and clarify lawmakers' stances.
