Slashing Claude Web Research Token Costs
intellinker · reddit · 2026-07-10
The author claims to have reduced Claude's web research costs by 18x using a tool called Webify, rather than stuffing entire web pages into the context window. Webify parses HTML and uses BM25 and BFS to locate the DOM subtrees relevant to the query, returning only the essential content. This cuts the token count for a single request from thousands down to just tens or hundreds.
