Debating AI Use in University Education

In response to the claim that "using AI is cheating," the commentary argues that using AI to boost productivity is fundamentally different from using it to evade learning, and the former should be encouraged. It points out that universities have failed to properly guide students into the AI era, delivering mixed signals and falling short of producing graduates equipped to harness new technologies, unlike during the advent of the internet.
