Coding Agents Are Too Conservative

The author argues that current coding agents are too conservative and lack ambition by default, always leaning towards reusing mature libraries rather than implementing from scratch. Using their own experience of writing a lot of code from scratch driven by Fable as an example, they state there's no need to use old libraries like BLAS as a "crutch" anymore, and they plan to explicitly ask the assistant to think more boldly.
