Grok 4.5 Solves High-Dimensional Math Counterexample
prof_g · x · 2026-07-10
Mathematicians found that Grok 4.5 successfully constructed an explicit counterexample for the supercontractivity of Poisson groups on 4-dimensional spheres, proving that previous research conclusions about this property holding in low dimensions but failing in high dimensions are sharp.
The author also tested other frontier AI models, one of which found a counterexample as well. However, Grok 4.5 was specifically praised for delivering a highly explicit, simple, and elegant solution, with related attachments generated entirely by the model itself.
