TRACE: Agents Find Weaknesses Before Training
Azaliamirh · x · 2026-07-09
TRACE is a self-improvement training method where the agent first identifies the missing capabilities behind its failures, and then constructs new synthetic environments for targeted training.
According to the post, TRACE-trained Qwen3.6-27B achieved 73.2% on SWE-bench Verified, outperforming the larger Codex 5.2 and GLM 5, while using fewer training rollouts than GRPO and GEPA.
