Ex-Google Gemini Core Member Joins Meta
realmadhuguru · x · 2026-07-09
Former Google engineer Madhu Guru announced his departure to join Meta, where he will focus on building AI products. During his time at Google, he helped build the search and advertising businesses from scratch before moving on to the Gemini project, where he established AI model development workflows, customer feedback flywheels, and enterprise operations.
He noted that while software engineering agents have significantly transformed development paradigms, AI agents in most other complex systems are still in their infancy. He believes Meta has the capacity to change this and drive the widespread adoption of AI agents.
