Perplexity stated that they measured task costs using GLM 5.2 as a baseline. On WANDR, the cost of GLM 5.2 plus an advisor is about 2.1 times that of Opus, whereas Opus stands at 6.1 times, meaning GLM 5.2 costs roughly half of Opus overall.
They also mentioned that the model is hosted by Perplexity on Nvidia B200 servers in the US, with continued improvements planned for the research preview and full benchmarks to be released in the coming weeks.
